The WindDancer Foundation Inc. is a public, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, an educational institution, unique in its purpose. The Foundation with its website content is a foremost wild horse educational entity in the United States.
Your donations help to develop the teaching tools, educational programs, and traveling exhibits. Currently, our ongoing production of "Facing the Wind" is appearing at DIA, Denver International Airport at the Y - junction on Concourse A. The WindDancer Foundation will use these devises to impart its message about the historic heritage and currant plight of the wild horse and burro face to those school-aged children in public, private and home schools across America.
The mission of the WindDancer Foundation is providing education material on the Foundation website available to public, private and home schools across the country and around the world. The next goal is a "fair evaluation exercise" to directed for participants to discuss their personal views in focus groups. These considerations would promote preservation measures and protection for specific habitats and ecosystems these wild horses and burros occupy across a 10 state region. As well the encouragement of fair appropriate treatment, and management strategies for the wild mustangs and burros residing on those public lands influenced by current scientific evidence.
In summary, the Wild horse and Burro program will continue to evolve but extreme measures must be met in order for these animals to survive for generations to come. It was envisioned and prescribed in the Wild Horse and Burro Act of 1971 to manage these animals on those ancestral lands they have lived for centuries.
The Foundation will be able to accomplish its mission solely through the generous contribution of private donors like yourself.
